Privacy Policy

The Pahrump Trunk or Treat is a free community event organized by Melissa Sharrer. This page explains what we collect through this website and what we do with it.

What we collect

Only what you type into a sign-up form (Host a Trunk, Volunteer or Sponsor):

  • your name, and the email address and/or phone number you give us;
  • the details you add: trunk theme and number of cars, the ways you'd like to volunteer, your business name and sponsorship level, and any message;
  • whether you ticked the box asking for a text confirmation.

We don't use advertising or analytics trackers. To keep out spam, Cloudflare Turnstile checks each form submission; it sees your IP address for that check, and we don't store it.

How we use it

  • To organize the event: planning trunk spaces, volunteers and sponsors.
  • To send you a confirmation that we got your sign-up: by email if you gave one, and by text only if you ticked the text box.
  • To contact you about the event, for example with the lot map or a schedule change.
  • For sponsors: once the organizer confirms you, your business name and sponsorship level are shown on this website. Your contact details are never shown.

Who we share it with

We don't sell, rent or trade your information. It's handled only by the services that run this site, and only to do their part:

  • Cloudflare hosts the website, stores sign-ups and runs the spam check.
  • Resend delivers our emails.
  • Twilio delivers our text messages.

Text messaging: no mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

How long we keep it

We keep sign-ups from past years as a record of the event. Email us at any time and we'll delete yours.
